Just 40 minutes from the centre of Melbourne -
Visit Cellars not always open and taste wines not always on offer!
Come and meet the winemakers of 12 boutique wineries and share their passion for the exceptional quality wines they produce in this special part of the Yarra Valley. The weekend is an excuse for winemakers to make available some limited releases and offer some special prices or events they don’t do for the rest of the year!
Enjoy a rare insight into their unique wine styles that are hand picked & hand pruned by family & friends in the traditional style. You'll have the chance to sample exquisite wines from boutique Nillumbik wineries whose doors are not always open to the public. You'll also find excellent food to complement the wine as well as exhibitions and live music at some venues. As an added attraction this year you can also meet the 'wine dogs' of Nillumbik.
The cellar doors vary from contemporary design to buildings constructed from local stone and mud. Exhibits from local artists, including pottery, photography, paintings and textiles, are on display at many Open Cellars to offer you a truly memorable visit.
Open hours: 11am - 5pm
No entry charge or tasting fee

Each wine has the same heritage, but demonstrates significant variations due to the different winemaking processes used. These wines have been released especially for the Open Cellars weekend.
